Program Director

ABOUT DAVIDSON COUNTY LOCAL FOOD NETWORK

Overview:

Davidson County Local Food Network (DCLFN) is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as the Program Director. This half-time role offers an exciting opportunity to lead our efforts in promoting community health and strengthening the local economy through an equitable and economically viable local food system.

Position Details:

  • Classification: Half-time (15-20 hours per week)

  • Compensation: $25,000 - Salary

  • Reports to: Board of Directors

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic and operational activities of DCLFN.

  • Work closely with the Board of Directors and staff to manage operations, provide strategic direction, and ensure long-term sustainability.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with foundations, corporations, local businesses, and community partners.

  • Oversee programs like FarmsSHARE, Farm Fresh Nourish, prescription box programs, and other food access initiatives.

  • Manage program budgets and financial reporting.

  • Represent DCLFN at community events and engage in active outreach.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in nonprofit management, a strong commitment to promoting a thriving local food economy, and familiarity with nonprofit fiscal management. This position offers the potential to grow into a full-time role as our organization expands.
